A whole lotta latte. I did some of the pink border and finished most of the middle cup.

Mirabilia Winter queen, pink conversion. I worked on the bottom left side of her dress.

A picture of my cat Harley. I used pic2pat online to convert the picture to a pattern. Still not sure of the colors yet. I am really hoping it's going to turn out like the picture. I worked a little on the top border.

A view from the window. Most of the work on this was done trying to find where I went wrong and fixing a mistake I made in the flowers. I did manage to get a little stitched on the leaves on the left side, and a little in the middle.

Take time. I stitched a bit of the sand.

Dock side quilts. I finished the last quilt and did the little window under it.

Wedding dress. Which is a FINISH! Yayyy!!! I actually spent half an hour trying to match up the pink thread in order to finish it. It was finished on January 1st. My first finish for 2015! In all honesty there was only about 2 hours worth of stitching left on her anyway .... Oh only I had known that! lol

I added a few beads to her hair for a bit of bling. I don't like the black silhouette anymore. If I had my time back I would've picked a different color. And I think with the bead placement on her chest....to me she looks like she has a deformed breast. I might have to fix that!
So because that one is completed... I'm not sure if I'm supposed to continue working on the nine I have left or add another project in to keep it at ten. I don't know how the rules work. If someone could let me know that would be much appreciated.
In any case, if you can remember in my first TT post I said I only had 12 WIPS so I picked another one to add.
This one I stopped because I wasn't sure if I liked the color fabric with the floss color. But looking at it with fresh eyes made me just love it! It's called purple blue green butterfly and I bought it online from Artecy.
Here's the before:
After:
Butterfly girl. I did a little on the side of her face/hair. Haven't found the mistake yet but I know it's there somewhere!
Before:
After:
Mirabilias Red. I didn't get as much done as I wanted. I filled in some of the brown on the bottom of her dress and a few black and white stitches here and there that needed filled in.
Before:
After:
Rocky Point. I only got about 60-65 stitches put in this. I just wasn't feelin' it.... Anyway, I'm hoping to get into it more next month.

Great progress and great finish! I didn't even notice the beading until you pointed it out but I think it looks fine. It looks like she has a flower on her dress. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was hoping the beads weren't going to be too noticeable!
DeleteLove your progress. I don't do the Turtle Trot, but do read BAP Attack's blog so wanted to check everyone out. I love the wedding dress, my granddaughter is so into pink and I think she would love that one. Maybe after I get done with her Mermaid "D".

Thanks, Sandy! I bought her from Etsy!
DeleteWOW, those are some enormous projects. Great job.

Thanks, CJ!
DeleteWhat gorgeous projects! I love the ways those cups pop against the black fabric. And this may be a record for the a TT project finish: the first check-in!
ReplyDeleteThank you! The colors are what made me fall in love with that one!
DeleteCongratulations on the first finish of 2015 :) and what great progress you have made on your pieces for the Turtle Trot. There is no need to fill in the spot of your finishes. Some of us do as we have way too many WIPs or UFOs waiting for a little attention. Happy Stitching!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Toni! Good to hear I don't have to fill in the spots. I think I have my hands full with what I have now!
DeleteThis is a gorgeous finish. And such great progress on all your WIPs of the SAL. Great job.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Brigitte!
DeleteCongrats on a finish already, and it looks great! I think you're allowed to add another or not as you choose. I think Claudette is pretty relaxed about all of it and it's more a way to help you progress on big projects.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Tiffany! I don't think I will add any other projects if I'm lucky enough to get another finish in. Although, I only have one other WIP and then ALL my wips will be worked on...hmm, decisions decisions lol!
DeleteWow what a beautiful wips
ReplyDeleteI love all of them :)
I noticed that you work like me on a lot of huge projects
